The engineering problem
Unlined reservoirs and canals lose large volumes to seepage; dams need reliable upstream facing. The lining must be watertight, UV-stable for exposed service, and installable in wide panels to keep seam counts low on big water surfaces.

- PP filament geotextile — underlay protection cushion shielding the membrane from subgrade puncture
- PET staple geotextile — filtration behind dam facings and drainage outlets
