Aquaculture Pond Liners
Fish and shrimp ponds — stop seepage, hold water quality, and clean ponds easily between cycles.
The engineering problem
Earthen ponds lose water to seepage and absorb waste into the soil, destabilizing water quality; rough pond bottoms trap sludge and make disinfection between cycles difficult. A smooth impermeable liner breaks this cycle — and a smooth surface (not textured) is easier to clean and kinder to stock.
- Smooth HDPE geomembrane — pond lining: impermeable, smooth surface for easy sludge removal and disinfection; widths to 8 m minimize seams in pond bottoms
- PP filament geotextile — underlay cushion protecting the liner from subgrade stones and roots
- PET staple geotextile — separation under access tracks around pond dykes
