Application
Slope Protection
Riverbanks, highway cuttings and embankment slopes — filtration and separation that keep slopes stable.
The engineering problem
Water seeping through a slope washes fine soil out from behind armor layers — the classic cause of revetment failure. A filter geotextile passes the water while retaining the soil; beneath riprap or concrete armor it also separates armor stone from soft foundation soil.
- PP filament geotextile — filter layer behind riprap, gabions and concrete revetments; uniform pore structure; 2–6.5 m widths suit long bank lines
- PET staple geotextile — filtration with dimensional stability on steep or loaded slopes
- Smooth HDPE geomembrane — cutoff barrier where slope waterproofing is specified
Typical specifications
| Material | Available range |
|---|---|
| PP filament geotextile | 50–1500 g/m², widths 2–6.5 m |
| PET staple geotextile | Needle-punched polyester, wide-width rolls |
| Smooth HDPE geomembrane | 0.5–3.0 mm, GRI-GM13 (where specified) |
